Director / Principal Support Coordinator
Paul is a former NDIS Planner and worked as a Support Coordinator with genU prior to launching Communication Extra.
Paul has over 35 years experience in working with deaf people and people with disability, in both Australia and the UK.
Paul also has 15 years experience of business and executive management of deaf and disability service delivery.
Narelle is our Operations Manager. She joined CEx after 10 years of working in diverse roles with the Can:Do Group. She has more than 20 years of experience in disability services and management consultation, with expertise to ensure NDIS provider standards are met and that clients receive the best possible service from our Support Coordinators.
Narelle is committed to taking care of staff wellbeing and maintaining a positive workplace for all.
Senior Support Coordinator
Sally Milner is a support coordinator, who works to empower, collaborate and provide incredible outcomes for people.
She believes that with open communication, collaboration and an empowering mindset - she can strive to deliver the best outcomes possible for others.
She has worked within the Deaf and hard of hearing communities for more than 20 years as both an Auslan interpreter and as an employment consultant/support worker, successfully supporting Deaf and hard of hearing people to maintain their employment - no matter the obstacle.
Sally is also a certified Auslan/English interpreter.
Client Liaison Officer
Cheryl is a CODA and has used Auslan to communicate her entire life. Growing up in the Deaf community Cheryl is confident and comfortable when interacting with Deaf and hard-of-hearing people.
Cheryl is able to adapt to the personal needs of the Deaf community members where she can see a communication barrier.
Cheryl has extensive experience working with many diverse participants addressing behaviours of concern, suicidal ideations & self-harm. Cheryl has supported social participation for many and enjoys working with participants to reach goals.
Michelle is a Support Coordinator in South Australia working in our Head office. Michelle has a passion for learning about Deaf Culture and is currently studying Auslan at Tafe which she truly enjoys.
Michelle is completing her internship with Communication eXtra and has shown a real flair for participant budgeting and working alongside families with children.
Michelle has supported many families to review NDIS decisions and participants regularly comment on the individualised attention she gives to those around her.
