Ad-Hoc One-on-One Support
What is Ad-Hoc One-on-One Support?
Ad-Hoc services are offered to clients who do not have a Support Coordination Service Agreement with us, but require occasional support. This is what our Ad-Hoc One-on-One support services include:
Document and information summary This service delivers a summary of the English text provided by the client, either face to face or via webcam, and aims to briefly communicate only the main ideas of the text. The important points and highlights of the information in the text will be presented to the client in Auslan or a form of communication which they are familiar with. Guidance If you need support with buying a new computer or mobile phone, or want to set up a Wi-Fi network at home, or you are not sure how to enrol in a course on-line, Communication eXtra can support you with this. Communication eXtra can also support you with other things such as buying a home, looking for a lawyer or other professional. Advice on your rights If you have a dispute with a shop or other service, Communication eXtra can support you with this. We will find the right people to help you and we will make sure you have the right communication support such as interpreters. We will also support you with DDA claims if you feel you have been discriminated against. NDIS Reviews and appeals If you just need support with your NDIS review but do not wish to engage a Support Coordinator, Communication eXtra can help you with this. Also if you are not happy with your Plan or there is something missing or there is not enough money and so-on, we will support you with asking for a review, and with an AAT appeal if the review is not successful. |
